Rapper Mims, who is known for the popular hit “This is Why I’m Hot”, came to A&T Thursday to promote his new album entitled “Guilt.”

P-Mac and WNAA STREET team hosted the event, put together by the  WNAA-FM and Students with interest in music (S.W.I.M.) Mims interacted with his fans by signing authographs, taking picutres and answering  questions.  “Hip-Hop is evolving and I love the change because there’s something for everybody.”  He is confident about the new album and speaks very highly of it.  “I feel more comfortable about this album because I have more creative control,” continued.  He mentioned that his maturity and growth on this album is evident. He also stated  that he is more knowledgeable about the music business this time around. He gave advice for people who want to pursue a career in music. “Be aware of where hip-hop came from and where it’s going, and learn how to market and promote yourself.”Guilt” will be in stores April 7th.
