    Trey drops ‘Anticipation 2’

Trey Songz had his fans doing nothing but anticipating new R&B music with his latest mixtape release of Anticipation 2. This mixtape comes after much commercial success with his latest albums ‘Ready’ and ‘Passion, Pain & Pleasure.’

Also, where all his hype began was after his first mixtape Anticipation, where he remixed then popular songs into his own, and released new material of his own that the R&B industry yearned for at the time.

To many it seems as though his shine is dying down, and the release of this Anticipation 2 mixtape could either prove those people right or give Trey one more chance to prove that he is here to stay.

This mixtape features 14 songs and majority of them talk about sex, foreplay and more sex. One of the songs most fans would go right to is “Still Scratchin Me Up” because this is a sequel to “Scratchin Me Up” on his first mixtape, yet this sequel is nothing like the original song. For the first song to be such a big hit, one would think he would make the sequel top the original to no belief, but it is a disappointment.

Other great in-the-mood songs come from the obvious titles “When We Make Love”, “Me 4 U Infidelity 2,” “Don’t Judge’ and ‘French Kiss.”

These songs are the music we are used to hearing from the love crooner. When one listens to those songs their mind is sure to wander, and minus some of the explicit audio sound effects the songs are done in good taste.

Good songs that don’t lead right to the bedroom but are good listens include “Flights & Skype”, “U Should Roll…'”and ‘Top Of the World.’ These songs show the softer side of Trey and are a nice release from the over-sexualized mixtape; they provide a good balance. The random song on the mixtape goes to “Girl on Girl” where Trey sings about the girls who get fed up with nonsense boys put them through, and choose to mess with girls.

Overall, this mixtape is a good listen and will leave listeners satisfied. But if you were looking for something of the magnitude of ‘Anticipation’ and ‘Ready,’ this album is a good third place spot after those classics.
