Earlier today, local radio station 102 Jamz reported that rapper Gucci Mane, who was contracted to perform at the Diamond Life concert  at the Greensboro Coliseum  on Saturday has cancelled. An official at the Coliseum confirmed the cancellation shortly after.

Accoring to SGA president, Syene Jasmin, since A&T no longer has a contract with the concert, the university no longer has contract obligations.

“I’m following the vision of the chancellor and the chancellor decided to leave the contract with the concert,” Jasmin said. “The fact that he pulled out today is with Diamond Life, not with A&T.”

The rest of the artists of the “Swag City” tour will still perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night.
