Madea’s Big Happy Family, an addition to the Madea series, was released April 22.

It was the second highest grossed movie for this weekend.

Tyler Perry, who started this movement in theatrical plays created the Madea series. Perry plays the main character, Mable Simmons, who is a manner driven, crazy lady.

The movie includes an all star cast; Loretta Devine as Shirley; Shad “Bow Wow” Moss as Byron, Lauren London as Renee; David Mann as Mr. Brown;

Shannon Kane as Kimberly; Natalie Desselle-Reid as Tammy and Teyana Taylor as Sabrina.

Shirley (Devine), Madea’s niece, finds out her cancer has returned and has a few weeks left to live.

She wants to get her family together to share the sad news over dinner.

What she doesn’t realize is that they are going through issues of their own. Byron (Moss), her son, was in jail for selling drugs and now fights to stay out of the game.

The only problem is his current gold digger girlfriend (London) and spiteful baby’s mother (Taylor) wants him to deal again to provide for them.

Kimberly (Kane) has a husband and a son, but takes all of her anger out on them because of her past. She doesn’t know how to forgive and forget.

Lastly, Tammy (Desselle-Reid) also has a family of her own.

She struggles with controlling her children and gaining respect while containing her anger towards her husband.

After Shirley’s failed attempt, to get her family together, it is up to Madea to get them together for dinner before it is too late.

But first, she most confronts her own problems.

This movie included all kinds of genres. The movie is very touching and emotional. It makes you sympathize to Shirley and all of her family.

The problems and struggles in this movie are real life scenarios that connect you with the characters. The movie is also hilarious.

All of Tyler Perry’s movies and plays are comedies that make you fall out of your seat laughing.

Between Madea, Joe, and Mr. Brown, they are sure to get you laughing hysterically. This is a great movie to see with your family.

The downside about this movie is that it is a typical “Tyler Perry” movie. It has the same depressing storyline and includes someone getting raped or killed and results as a happy ending.

If you want to see a typical Tyler Perry movie with a typical ending, than this movie is for you.
