After three consecutive losing seasons, North Carolina A&T head football coach Lee Fobbs was relieved of his head coaching duties today with just four games left in the season.
“I called Coach Fobbs this morning to notify him and, of course, naturally he was upset,” said A&T athletics director Wheeler Brown.”It was my decision with the support of the Chancellor and the board of trustees.”
Fobbs, who replaced George Small in 2005, is the third head coach to be fired in seven years
The former Texas A&M assistant exits with a record of 2-28 during his time at the university.
