WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Krispy Kreme Doughnuts Inc. announced Tuesday that Kenneth May, its president and chief operating officer, is leaving the company for personal reasons. He joined the company in November 2011.
Krispy Kreme said its CEO James Morgan Jr. has reassumed the role of president of the doughnut chain.
Before joining Krispy Kreme, May had been a longtime executive at FedEx Corp.
The company, headquartered in Winston-Salem, N.C., has more than 690 shops in 21 countries.
Krispy Kreme shares fell 18 cents Tuesday to close at $6.84.
