Honestly, I forgot about it. I think with the excitement of
homecoming and classes and everything, I just forgot to go vote. By
the time I was reminded, I didnโt have time to go vote so I didnโt
find it important. That sounds bad but itโs the truth. I hope
everyone else is not like me, but I havenโt heard much about it
around campus so Iโm sure Iโm not alone. Which will ultimately
probably be a bad thing for the Greensboro community.

Yes I went to go vote. Not many people were there when I went so it
was very easy for me. When I asked people around campus it was
interesting and sad to see how many people didnโt vote. Last year
our numbers were embarrassing, and this year I think itโs looking
even worse. I wish more people took voting more
seriously.

No. But it is only because I never vote. I lost fate in the
democratic process years ago so I voted in 2008, but then I
stopped. I think our government is so messed up that I refuse to
vote for the โless of two evilsโ. So when it comes to voting, I
didnโt do it just because I never vote.

Do
you think guys become more disrespectful to women during
homecoming?

Pretty much. I think guys are far more honest and upfront during
homecoming. When guys are โhaving funโ they typically are more
willing to put what they really want out in the open anyway so I
think that plays a big role into why you hear so many reckless
comments during homecoming. I think guyโs true inner thoughts are
typically disrespectful anyway. But during homecoming we have no
filter because every guy is trying to get the same thing so of
course we are a little more out of control and
disrespectful.

I believe so and thatโs a shame. I think guys live up to the
stereotype of being dogs and it makes all of us look bad.
Personally, Iโm here to enjoy the time with my fellow students and
alumni, but I see how guys talk to some girls and itโs embarrassing
to say the least. But what makes it worst is that some girls
respond to that type of treatment and relationships spark from
that.

โmso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 120%; font-family: Times;โ>
Depends on the guy I guess. I know girls typically say Iโm
disrespectful as is anyway so I donโt change up much during
homecoming. I think some dudes get caught up in the moment so they
lay it all out there and if it works it works, but if it donโt they
move on to the next one. Some guys are more honest during
homecoming, but not disrespectful.

Would

I donโt think you should change it. I really like Ask a Black Guy.
Women always want to change something about how men do or say
stuff. Ask a Black Guy is fine just the way it is. Black women can
express themselves some other way. Let us have Ask a Black Guy. I
personally pick up The A&T Register every week to read 20
Questions and Ask a Black Guy. I think if it was Ask a Black Girl,
it will be so watered down that it wonโt even be
interesting.

I wouldnโt mind it. Black women have stories to be told just as
much as black men. So to do Ask a Black Girl I would not be opposed
to it. I like hearing how my fellow brothers feel, but at the same
time it would be interesting to see guys ask the questions and have
girls answer. I think it wouldnโt be as brutally honest as it is
now, but it will still be cool to see the questions and responses
you get.

I think it would be cool but not every week. I think I like the way
it is now. Some questions are funny, some are serious, and some are
interesting to say the least. But either way, I like the way it is
now. Sometimes it is cool to hear the perspective of black women,
but Ask a Black Guy is pretty different so I donโt see the point in
changing it.
