Early Friday afternoon, a Chevelot Caprice caught on
fire in the Aggie Suites parking lot caused from speakers in the
trunk of the car.
A student from Danville, N.C. was inside of the car
when he noticed that the car was overheated and a fire started to
develop in the trunk. He then proceeded to run inside Aggie Suites
E dorm to fill a trash can up with water.
When returning, he found the car to be completely on
fire. Firefighters and campus police were called and proceeded set
the fire out. After ten minutes of trying to open the trunk, a crow
bar successfully revealed that the speakers were found to be the
cause of the fire.
Resulting from the fire, another car that was parked
next to the Caprice is also damaged. The car is still in the parking
lot of Aggie Suites and will soon be towed.Â
