Local artist, Ethemadassassin, has released an infectious album titled, “Proverbs.,” The album, released from his label R. Steel, features 13 tracks, of un-sugar-coated truth.

“Proverbs” is an album that people can relate to. Ethemadassassin speaks about the regular person from the streets, the one that can’t afford the huge house, $100,000 cars, or the iced-out chains.

Bringing wisdom and knowledge of the streets to his listeners, he uses his songs to talk about the everyday struggles of the streets.

On his song, “The Game,” he uses the title as a metaphor about life on teh streets.

On the song “Jealous Love,”Ethemadassassin said one of the biggest problems on the streets is jealousy.

“If they want what you got then they’ll try to take yours, if your success makes enemies, then jealousy makes swords.”

Witty phrases verses like, “I’ll smack the taste out your mouth and sell you back the flavor.,” are throughout the album.

“Proverbs” features a guest appearance from local rapper Celinski, from hip-hop group, 9th floor. And thanks to a number of great producers like Lamark and Lonnie, of S.O.B. Productions and god-meta, of Meta music; Ethemadassassin’s album is filled with hot beats and hooks.

With a combination of crisp lyrics and solid beats, hip-hop lovers everywhere will definitely enjoy the sounds of “Proverbs.”
