A sideline intra-squad altercation occurred during the N.C. A&T women’s basketball team 83-63 win over South Carolina State Saturday afternoon.
School officials said they were unclear about the altercation.
According to a staff journalist who attended the game, midway through the second half, freshman Amber Calvin and junior Jaleesa Sams had to be separated by fellow teammates and coaches.
After the game, the journalist also said a man approached Sams and there was a brief scuffle between the two.
A&T Sports Information Director Brian Holloway was not sure about the details of the incident and multiple calls to Athletic Director Wheeler Brown were not returned.
The Lady Aggies will play host to Winston-Salem State on Monday at 6 p. m. in the Greensboro Coliseum.
