The Chanels are all set to strut their stuff as medical students in the upcoming second season of Fox’s “Scream Queens.”
From award-winning executive producers Ryan Murphy (“The People V. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” “American Horror Story,” “Nip/Tuck”), Scream Queens Season 2 graduates from the college campus and into a hospital with a haunted past, as a new and terrifyingly funny mystery begins.
Season 1 of the hit series spent the last quarter of 2015 teasing the mystery regarding the true identity of the touted, elusive, comically homicidal killer known as the Red Devil. While the humorously apropos fate of the series’ Kappa Kappa Tau sorority sisters and the dramatic disclosure of the member who was behind the assailant’s horned mask seemingly put a wrap on the series, the show will apparently shift gears in Season 2 to another killer predicament.
Returning for Scream Queens Season 2 are cast members Emma Roberts as Chanel Oberlin, Jamie Lee Curtis as Cathy Munsch, Lea Michele as Hester Ulrich, Abigail Breslin as Chanel #5, Keke Palmer as Zayday Williams, Billie Lourd as Chanel #3, Glen Powell as Chad Radwell and Niecy Nash as Denise Hemphill.
The series recently added healers to the psych facility that has become the new off-campus home for our favorite spoiled sociopaths. Taylor Lautner from the Twilight franchise will play Dr. Cassidy Cascade, one of the doctors at the mental hospital where the former sorority girls are matriculating. Dr. Cascade will become a suspect in the odd goings on at the hospital after it is revealed that he’s suffering from a strange malady himself.
Full House heartthrob John Stamos will play Dr. Brock Holt, described by TV Line as “a brilliant but secretive head surgeon employed at the hospital, where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation.” Guest stars this season include Jerry O’Connell, Laura Bell Bundy, Colton Haynes, Cecily Strong and Cheri Oteri.
The last anyone has seen of the Chanels, they’re stuck in a mental institution. However, Scream Queens season 2 is set in the future. The plot takes place years after the bloody murder at the Kappa House.
It also means the characters evolved into different profiles and professions. For some odd reason, Dean Munsch purchases an abandoned hospital.
Now, when it comes to an abandoned place – such as a hospital – that usually translates into a host of scary events. In an attempt to gain more money, she makes renovations. She transforms the old building into a health care center.
What about the Chanels? Well, the hospital needs nurses. Munsch hires them as candy stripers. She tells them that the place is a “teaching hospital.” What is not a shocker is that they still wear pink.
What they all do not know is that ever since the lights came back on, the hospital’s horror begins its haunting. A new psycho killer surfaces and it aims to kill everyone in it.
Do you think this hospital is good for the health of the Chanels? Watch out for Scream Queens Season 2 to hit your television screen on September 20.
