Two Aggies are dead after being shot early this morning (Oct. 2) at an off-campus party, police said.
Officials say Alisia Dieudonne, a 19-year-old sophomore computer science major from Homewood, Ill., and Amhad Campbell, a 21-year-old junior agriculture and environmental systems (agribusiness and food industry management) major from Kittrell, N.C., were shot as a result of an altercation at the party at 911 Circle Drive. The shootings occurred just after 2 a.m. The students were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The university is holding an urgent safety meeting today at 2 p.m. in Harrison Auditorium. The Office of Counseling Services will be open today from 2-5 p.m.
According the University Police Department, the suspect is a black male and was last seen leaving the area in a red vehicle.
The incident is still under investigation.
