N.C. A&T’s MLK Celebration keynote speaker will be author, educator, and writer Lasana Hotep. The event will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. in Harrison Auditorium. It is free and open to the public. The speaker has contributed to numerous publications such as African-American Men in College (Jossey-Bass 2006), The State of Black Arizona (2008), Be a Father to Your Child: Real Talk from Black Men of the Hip Hop Generation (Soft Skull 2008) and the Black Male Health Handbook: A Blueprint for Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Health and Wellness (TBD 2008). He started and coordinated the African American Men Student Success (AAMSSU) program at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona.
