Two Aggies are dead after being shot early this morning (Oct. 2) at an off-campus party, police said.

Officials say Alisia Dieudonne, a 19-year-old sophomore computer science major from Homewood, Ill., and Amhad Campbell, a 21-year-old junior agriculture and environmental systems (agribusiness and food industry management) major from Kittrell, N.C., were shot as a result of an altercation at the party at 911 Circle Drive. The shootings occurred just after 2 a.m. The students were taken to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Neither of the victims were involved in any physical altercation that would have led up to this incident. There have been no new developments in the case, according to Police.

911 calls from the incident have recently been released.

Two callers told dispatchers the victims were shot by someone firing outside of the apartment.

“Someone was shooting in the neighborhood and shot through our window and hit somebody,” a female caller told a 911 dispatcher. “Please, come help.”

“Somebody was shooting outside and it came into the house and she’s bleeding,” a different caller tells a dispatcher.

Investigators were still interviewing witnesses Monday.

A vigil was held Monday at 4 p.m. for the students on A&T’s campus.
