The North Carolina Diabetes Research Collaborative (NCDRC) will have its second annual Regional Symposium on Friday, March 5, and it will be hosted by N.C. A&T.
The goal of the event is for researchers in North Carolina and surrounding states to meet and discuss institutional projects in diabetes, obesity and metabolism.
President-Elect of the American Diabetes Association (ADA) will present a presentation on the national status of diabetes, and representatives from the universities of Duke, Wake Forest, and Chapel Hill will also deliver speeches.
This is a great opportunity for students to be informed about the issues society has with diabetes, especially in the black community.
This event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., with 15-minute breaks between presentations.
